The Icom IC-M330GE is a marine transmitter with GPS receiver (antenna included) has been reduced in size compared to its predecessor. This transmitter almost fits in the palm of your hand, it is also waterproof, certified under IPX7 standard and has DSC and GPS (antenna included), without forgetting the possibility of interconnecting it optionally with the Icom AIS receiver or with the remote communicator.
The brand new IC-M330GE, with a most compact size, with just 156.5 mm wide by 66.5 mm high and a depth of 110.1 mm, invites to install it in virtually any corner of the boat, even in small lengths. The device has a Digital Selective Call (DSC) button and its IPX7 waterproof casing (1 m. for 30 min.) does not shy away from installations in open wheelhouses. The M-330 integrates GPS receiver, reflecting coordinates on the large high-definition backlit quartz screen. Another interesting option of the equipment is the external ComandMic, which allows unfolding the management of the device in the cockpit or the flybridge.
Its operation uses the usual sequential Menus in other Icom devices, with four variable assignment keys under the main display and a system of cardinal keys for selections in the different operating Menus. The new equipment has a maximum power of 25 watts, switchable to 1 watt, with a maximum speaker power of 4.5 watts. Its selectivity of more than 70 db between channels limits interference to the maximum and optimizes reception quality. Equipped with an external GPS antenna, the M-330 has the ʽposition requestʼ and ʽposition reportʼ or ʽpolling requestʼ functions to request and/or exchange coordinates with neighboring ships. This information can be displayed on the plotter screen. or radar via NMEA 0183 connections
