Original HTC Wildfire S (G13) Touch unit panel with digitizer (For all versions)
HTC Wildfire S G13 Digitizer (Universal Version) - When fitting please make sure a sw update and calibration is done
To All Customers,
Htc as well as blackberry have different revisions and ics on digitizers as well as lcds.
On most HTC repairs when replacing the digitizer, the software needs updating. (especially on sensation, wildfire S and Mozart)
The newer models to follow will also need a sw update and calibration.
To simply enable this process we suggest you do the following:
1. hard reset or firmware/software update
2. calibration ( this can be done via the XTC CLIP/hxc dongle) - You need this clip if youre replacing touchpads on the HTC
Steps with XTC CLIP:
If you already have access to the diag file follow these simple steps
Make a gold card (plenty of tutorials, use search)
Copy diag file to goldcard
Boot to bootloader (volume down and power)
Wait
You may get an error, ignore it and press vol down to exit
Screen will have the following message
Action => flash
Vol down => diag
Press vol down for diag NOT POWER
you will quickly see a screen asking you to put phone on a flat surface for TP calibration ... do it
Once that is done, you will see a menu about clear S58 data. Ignore it as you need xtc clip for that, and the repair is already done. Simply pull the battery and reboot
Warning!!! Tested by myself on 3 (three) phones running pure stock. Not been tested with custom roms or any other modification. Doing this will also do a full factory reset on the phone.
During Calibration, hold phone upright for 5mins. This aligns everything.
(after fitting in sensation/wildifre S and other non responsive touchpads, the above process is a necessary)
