With the new AirPods with wireless charging case, you'll experience wireless headphones in a completely new way. Just take them out of the case and they're ready for your iPhone, Apple Watch model, iPad or Mac.
With a tap, you set up the AirPods and they work like magic. They are automatically switched on and always connected. The AirPods even detect when they are in your ears and pause when you take them out.
To adjust the volume, change the song, call somebody or let you know the way, say "Hey Siri" and what you want to do. You have the freedom to wear one or both AirPods, and you can double-tap a track or jump to the next one during music or podcast listening.
Charge your AirPods quickly and easily with the wireless charging case. Just put the case on a Qi compatible charging mat and let it charge. The LED light on the front of the case indicates that your AirPods are charging. And if you do not have a charge mat nearby, you can charge via the Lightning Connector.
AirPods offer 5 hours of playback1 and 3 hours of talk time per charge.2 And with their wireless charging case that holds more charges for 24 hours of playback, they stick with everything you do.3 Quick charge? After only 15 minutes in the charging case, you can listen to 3 hours of music4 or 2 hours.5
The AirPods are controlled by the new Apple H1 chip and detect whether they are in your ear through optical sensors and acceleration sensors. The H1 chip automatically redirects the audio and activates the microphone, whether you use both AirPods or just one. And when you're talking on the phone or talking to Siri, an additional Speech Recognition Accelerometer and Wave Bundling Microphones will reduce the amount of outside noise and clearer voices.
